Provided assistance to software designers as part of a Software Development Environment (SDE) team. Developed and supported software tools using C, Perl, UNIX C and Bourne shell programming languages. Participated in the design and development of product building engine using Makefiles, GNU Make, Clearmake and supporting scripts for UNIX (Sun, HP), Windows NT (CYGWIN) and Linux users. Contributed to the design of software architecture layout for a customer. Utilized and supported Configuration Management Systems (CMS): ClearCase (CC), RCS. Resolved loadbuild (compiling, linking, packaging, licensing) environmental and code (C, C++, Java) problems. Automated processes using cron jobs. Composed internal process documents and training material using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Managed a three person project using MS Project. Participated in inspection, testing and verification of other designers' code. Taught internal university course on configuration management tools and product development practices. Performed all of the above in accordance with ISO 9001 International Standard.

Developed CAD (Pro/ENGINEER) software tools for mechanical engineers using TCL/TK and C programming languages and UNIX shell scripting. Developed internal software tools for the intranet network utilizing FTP protocol and CGI scripts. Administered and edited intranet web site using HTML. Participated and contributed to the process improvement meetings.

Laboratory Assistant (Internship), May 1997 - Sep. 1997
Spectrum Sciences Institute, Nepean, Ontario

Tested RF emissions from cellular phones which involved test dummy setup, robot programming and data gathering. Assembled and tested hearing aid RF filters. Assisted in the design and construction of shielded rooms and anechoic chambers. Helped in the design and construction of the Ottawa Technology Gallery.
